If you have any insight into street wear, then you very well know A Bathing Ape, whether it's a love or hate ordeal, they have been a pillar and have strongly influenced the fashion of the Japanese youth of today. So while some saw their buy out as a surprise, some weren't shocked at all.

Personally, I have respect for the brand and what they have done. While some were critical about the ventures that BAPE has made over it's seventeen plus years of business, everything from fishing lures, golden toothbrushes, to even having their own netbooks, they have surely showed the fashion world that there was nothing BAPE, nor NIGO, was afraid to dress in their signature camouflage. Most will agree that it is because of this idea that might have led NIGO to sell ninety percent of the Nowhere Company to rid himself of the heavy debt that came with the obscure creations for the very low price of $2.8 million.

At least when street wear is mentioned, BAPE will never be left out.
